Submission Guidelines

Translation Today (TT) is a peer-reviewed and indexed open-access journal published by the National Translation Mission (NTM) in both print and electronic formats. The journal has built an extensive global outreach and continues to receive an encouraging response from readers and experts alike. It aims to enrich the burgeoning field of Translation Studies by publishing high-quality research articles, academic interviews, book reviews, and annotated bibliographies. Numerous universities and institutions of national and international significance have recognised Translation Today as a leading journal in Translation Studies.

Scope and Submissions

Translation Today journal invites original research in the form of conceptual-theoretical papers or empirical-implementable papers. Authors are encouraged to contribute works on themes relevant to Translation Studies and its adjacent disciplines, including Interpreting Studies, Adaptation Studies, Comparative Literature, and Cultural Studies. Contributions are welcome in a wide range of categories such as original research articles, academic interviews with established experts, reviews of recently published books, and annotated bibliographies. Translation Today serves as a vital platform for scholars to publish their findings and engage with a diverse, dedicated audience on emerging theoretical and practical issues. As the NTM is currently focused on translating textbooks for undergraduate and postgraduate levels in India, submissions focusing on the translation of academic texts in the Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities are also welcome.

Editorial Process and Ethics

TT adheres to standard publishing norms and a double-blind peer-review system. For ethics and policies, please click here.

Translation Today does not charge any fee in any form at any stage of publication. This journal does not charge any article processing fee, editing charges, open-access fee, or production/publication-related payments.

Authors receive an immediate acknowledgement upon submission. At first, all submissions go through an in-house desk review by the editorial team. Following that, the submissions are sent for blind peer reviews, provided the submission passes through the first stage. The time course from submission to publication is 3-4 months.

Only original and unpublished works are considered. In cases where using an earlier published work is inevitable, the author/contributor of the submission should obtain written permission from the source publisher/author.

Copyright

TT retains the copyright for all published works. Authors must obtain written permission to republish any material appearing in the journal.
